The specific topic for Part 1 is: ESOP Oversight in a Mature ESOP – An ESOP is both a benefit plan and a shareholder (in our case study, a 100% ESOP S corp). This session will discuss oversight roles of management, the board, the administrative committee; managing ESOP contributions and distributions, and adjusting ESOP provisions; interacting with the trustee; and monitoring all of the key parties. We will share (but not dwell on) our plan committee charter, our fiduciary checklist, and related oversight materials.
